Crimson Desert's First DLC Lets Players Sail, Dive and Get Married

·

Crimson Desert's first paid expansion, Charting the Unknown, is out now for $24.99. It takes the game out to sea and adds some lifesim features side on land, including marriage and running a restaurant.

Ships have now been added and they look really good. Players can build one or buy it from a fleetmaster, customize it and use it to trade goods by sea. It's now also possible to go underwater. A breath meter limits how long players can dive for and they can also upgrade it to stay down for longer.

Players can now propose to NPCs once they have built up enough trust through gifts and conversations.

Housing now lets players build their own layout with walls and windows. A Liberated strongholds can be rented and run as a restaurant, sawmill, smithy or tailor's shop, and they keep running while the player is away.

For players who are mainly play the game for the fights, the Garden of Trials is a boss gauntlet.

You don't need to finish the main story to access the ocean content. Once the Greymane camp has grown enough after the 'Howling Hill' quest, it should be possible.
