Marvel's Wolverine keeps its scent trails for players who need them

·

Marvel's Wolverine update 1.002.001 lets players toggle the scent trails that guide Logan through the story. Players who rely on the trails can keep them on, and everyone else can switch them off.

Insomniac's first fix for the trails only made them less opaque, which could make them harder to use for players who depend on them. The trails are part of Logan's Senses, visual and audio cues that point him toward objectives and hidden items. After the PS5 game launched in September, players criticized them as too much hand-holding.

A follow-up update had already added toggles for the Senses that lead to optional content. Story-critical trails stayed on until now.

Can I Play That? is a site about game accessibility, written by and for disabled players. Its article on the first hotfix explains in more detail how the fainter trails could affect players who rely on them.
