Neon Abyss 2 leaves Early Access on October 8, 2026, and launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on the same day. Until now, the roguelike from Veewo Games was only available on PC.
The sequel to 2020's Neon Abyss is a side-scrolling run-and-gun game where items can be combined without limit. It supports online co-op for up to four players, which has been part of the game since Early Access began in July 2025.
Veewo promised content at launch that wasn't in Early Access. According to the 1.0 announcement from Veewo and publisher Kepler Ghost, that includes a final boss, Theia: God of Vanity. The full release also brings a reworked Faith system, where players spend Faith in shops, on recruiting allies or on games of chance.
Shortly before release, recent Steam reviews are very good. On consoles, the four-player co-op is probably the main reason to give it a look. Roguelikes like this get a lot better when three friends are picking up items you wanted.
Players who bought the game during Early Access keep the Archenemy Returns DLC for free. Veewo has said the DLC becomes a paid add-on after the 1.0 launch.
