Warframe is once again collecting donations for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, this time throughout October. Until October 31, every donation counts toward rewards that all players get, whether they donated or not.
The money goes to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. Digital Extremes calls it one of the top five cancer research centers in the world, and the donations fund research, education and patient care there and across Canada.
The studio has supported the foundation this way every year since 2020. Last year, players and Digital Extremes raised 313,128 Canadian dollars together, and the studio paid a little more than half of that itself.
How to donate
Players can donate directly through the official event page or during participating Twitch streams. Buying from the Conquera merch collection also helps, since the net proceeds go to the campaign, and so do the Valkyr and Voruna Floof decorations in the in-game Market.
Anyone watching those streams with a linked Twitch account also earns free in-game items through Twitch Drops, with new ones every week. The full Drops list is on the official forums. The event wraps up with a finale stream on the official Warframe channel on October 31 at 12 p.m. ET.

Nobody has to pay to take part, though. The code CARRYTHEFIRE unlocks a free profile icon, and Conquera cosmetics from earlier years sit in the in-game Market for 1 Credit until December 31. I like that the event gives everyone a way to show support, not just players with money to spare.
Rewards for the whole community
This year's goal is $100,000. Each milestone along the way unlocks something for everyone: cosmetics, extra slots for Warframes and weapons, items that upgrade gear, and a weekend with double Affinity, the game's experience points. As of October 20, every reward is already unlocked.
Most rewards arrive in the in-game inbox for players who log in between November 2 and December 31. A few upgrade items come from special in-game alerts in November instead, and the double Affinity weekend runs from November 6 to November 9.
