The upcoming Iceblade of Narin update adds a new Warframe to the game. Narin will be Warframe number 66 and arrives on September 23, 2026 with a lot of smaller changes to the game.
Meet Narin
Narin is a Korean-inspired Warframe and the first female Warframe built around the Cold element. Her design combines an elegant sword-focused look with a strong ice theme.
As with every new Warframe, she will come with her own signature weapons: the Nunchasa bow and the dual Aksondol pistols. These weapons are perfect for the new Warframe's cold play style.
Narin is not the first ice-themed Warframe in the game. Frost has been part of the game since 2013 and is easy to obtain in the early stages. The new Warframe brings a different approach to the same element. While Frost has always had a bulky and defensive design, Narin looks faster, more elegant, and more focused on close-range combat.
A Story Hidden in Ice
Narin’s story begins at Yuvan Peak, a new Relay Hub on a previously hidden side of Earth. A frozen monument connected to her past has appeared there, and players will be able to learn more about the lost history behind the new Warframe.
Other content as well
The update will include other content, such as the six-player Glacial Defiance mission, that might be some new endgame Weekly content and some more Skins.
Zariman Melica’s Lab
Melica’s Lab is a new area aboard the Zariman Ten Zero. Here, players will help Cephalon Melica investigate a growing connection to the Man in the Wall.
The Lab also introduces Entropic Eximus enemies across Zariman missions. These stronger enemies can drop Entropic Kuva, a new resource that can be traded with Cephalon Melica for rewards, including blueprints for Narin
Banshee Warframe Rework
Banshee is also being reworked as part of the update. The changes are intended to strengthen her sound-based abilities, improve her survivability, and make her gameplay feel smoother and more intuitive, so she no longer feels outdated.
Players can experience the rework for themselves by claiming Banshee for free.

Riven System Rework
Important quality-of-life changes are also being made to the Riven system. Players will be able to lock one stat on a Riven mod before rerolling it. The update will also introduce the option to merge certain Riven stats into new, combined stats, giving players more control over improving their Rivens and providing more opportunities for minmaxing their weapons.
Prepare for Tau
Tau will be Warframe’s next major story chapter. It was revealed at TennoCon 2026 and will take players beyond the Origin System into the Tau System for the first time.
Iceblade of Narin is an important step before this new chapter begins. The events around Narin, Yuvan Peak, the Zariman, and the Man in the Wall may give players an early look at what is waiting for them on the road to Tau.
